Welcome to Wooden cooling Towers This rugged war horse in our stables, incorporate multi blade, cast aluminum, adjustable pitch fan assembly driven by special T.E, IP-55 protected Geared Motor with low R.P.M and higher air discharge capacities.
The standard cladding profile of corrugated asbestos cement sheet, the joints of which are lapped to minimize water spillage. The Treated Wooden Splash bars, the fill media, are supported on FRP Grids to ensure positive and permanent positioning. The wooden splash bars are of imported pine woods, chemically treated to arrest fungal or algae formations.
The design incorporates accommodation of waters with very high TDS factors The hot water from the source when circulated to the collection basin with flower pot nozzles, are sprayed over the fill area. Simultaneously, air is induced through the fill media thus taking away the latent heat from the water passing through the fill media. Portions of water evaporated, removes the heat from the remaining water. The warm moist air is drawn through the fan deck is discharged to the atmosphere. Cold water, collected at the collection sump, is re-circulated to the heat source.
The tower designed incorporates complete HDG steel structural fastened by SS fasteners. The fan deck and collection basin are of FRP MOC. The fill media ( wooden splash bars) are pine wood chemically treated for fungal and algae protection. The fill media are stacked inside the towers by FRP grids which assures positive and permanent positioning.

The towers are enclosed by standard cladding of profile corrugated asbestos cement sheets, the joints of which are lapped to shed water only into the Cooling towers. The air intake areas have specially designed louvers of asbestos cement MOC and are designed to draw air and horizontally flow across the fill media, uniformly.The cold air while being drawn horizontally across the fill media, takes away the heat from the waters and in the process, cools the water. This mechanism is called as induced draft cross flow cooling .
The hot water from the source when circulated to the collection basin having the flower pot nozzles, are sprayed over the fill area which are located exactly below the collection basin.

The multi blade, cast aluminum, adjustable pitch fan with Hub are coupled to the special T.E.F.C, IP-55 protected Geared Motor provided for low R.P.M and higher air suctions. The arrangement are located at the tower top as could be seen from our catalog / Wooden tower photos.

These towers are generally constructed over RCC sumps designed to accomadate the towers and ensuring adequate air are drawn in to the tower and without escaping else where.

The tower design incorporates hot water inlet at the bottom collection sump circulated vertically to the mechanical rotary sprinkler located above the fill media. The inlet water pressure rotate the sprinkler, having extended arm pipes with orifices to disperse water uniformly over the fill media.
